Overview
The training is particularly useful for staff working with patients who are at high risk of suffering a stroke, but nevertheless, it would add value to a range of care settings. Delegates will be taught how to identify the symptoms and effects of a stroke, and will also be introduced to the standard treatment methods and their side effects. In addition to this, those attending this course will gain the skills and knowledge required to qualify them to teach a Stroke Awareness course.

- Teaching methods and learning styles.
- How individuals learn and keep information.

- Presenting information.
- ‘Do’s and don’ts’.
Course Assessment
The Stroke Awareness Train the Trainer course takes 1 day to complete. Delegates will be expected to engage in several involved group activities and, during the teaching part, will be evaluated on their knowledge and ability to train others.
